Alyce's Christmas Blog Hop Suprise. Shhh...don't tell !!!

This a blog hop arranged as a small way of saying thank you to Alyce for all of the hard work that she puts in for not only her class members but members of the Kit and Clowder facebook group.

If you are following the blog hop then you will hopefully of come here from:

One of my aims/resolutions for the following year is to work through my classes and post the images that i have coloured up for feedback.  That and re-start my diet and exercise regime!

The image that i have used and coloured up is available from tiddlyinks and Alyce has done a free tutorial video to give you a small insight into the colouring classes that Alyce provides in her classes.

The image was coloured using copics for the skin and promarkers for the rest of the image.  I layered the image on to a card using contrasting coloured papers and used a stamp that i was lucky enough to of won from one of Alyces Bingo games.  I used the sentiment 'Believe' as the one thing i think that Alyce has a true talent for is enabling even the most un-confident person to believe in themselves and have confidence in the work that they do.

The next stop for this blog hop is:

Frozen card!

My sister in law asked if i could make a card for her daughter with an image of Elsa on it.  I found the image  on Deviant art from an artist called Jay Fosgitt, his images are absolutely fantastic!

I coloured up the image with a mix of copics (for the skin) and pro-markers, I used baby blue stickles to give the cape a hint of shimmer. I used small blue stars on her hair, and flower soft in polar white for the snow.  I used a silver ink and stamped snowflakes from a Christmas stamps set that I had from last year.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the wording that I had been asked to add to the front.

Teacher thank you cards

I was asked to make 3 thank you cards for the end of term for my niece to give to her teachers.  I have just signed up for the skin and hair colouring classes at Kit and Clowder. I have not had too much time to spend on my classes but there are no time limits for the classes (thank goodness!).  I have tried to show shading on  my faces a bit better than i usually do and have invested in some copics which i think i am going to switch to!

The first card i made is using an image from Mo Manning, the image was coloured with Copics for the skin and promarkers for the rest.  I used papers from my stash (it was hard to find papers with some link to school so i picked the only one i could find and i coloured around the papers.

The next 2 cards are for the teaching assistants, the image is saturated canary from fathers day for the first one.

The next card is using a melijen image (even better they had a sale on when i went to buy the image!).

Thank you for looking!
