Birthday card 1920's

Not sure i like the way this card turned out, i am not overly keen on the stamps, but i was asked to make a card with a 1920's image.  I really struggled with this as it is not the sort of image i would normally do and i think i should of gone for a distressed ink look, and a vintage theme - ironically it took me ages and in the end i have to admit i just gave up and stuck some layers together, and hoped for the best!

Hope you like it and thatnks for taking the time to look x

Get well Soon

A card for a work friend who has been very poorly of late and i thought this card would make her smile (which apparently it did).  The image is a S.W.A.L.K stamp, coloured with promarkers.  I added some star dust stickles on the rain drops and puddle and purple stickles to the umbrella.  I used a tim holtz distress tool around the edges of the layers and inked the layer with the image. Some gems glued on to the coat, and pink stickles on the hair bows.

Hope you like the card - thanks for looking!

Pasty anyone???

A friend at work is leaving her job as a colour technician in the lab to work for her sister who owns a pasty shop and her job is going to be to deliver pastys, so i made a fun card to make her laugh as we have been teasing her asking if she will drive a car with a pasty on top!!!!

Leaving & Good luck card

I made this card for a friend at work who is leaving to join her sister;s business, I was asked to do this card for her and the brief was purple, fairy style and gothic, as soon as i had been given the brief i knew exactly what image i wanted to buy as it has been on my wish list for some time now - i just needed an excuse to buy it!
The image is from https://www.makeitcrafty.com/  and i love it!!! I plan to do a pastel coloured card with the image next, but for this card i followed my brief.  I coloured the image with promarkers and added stickles to the wings as i really wanted them to stand out.  I backed the image onto strips of a patterned paper.
I used some pearls and a thin strip of ribbon down the side.  I also added a couple of butterflys to the card but you cannot see these very well.  I really need to learn to take good pictures as most of the time i take my photos in the evening when  the lighting is poor, i think i need to make myself a light box!  That in mind i have just tried roping my husband into making me a wooden platform i can use to put my pictures on.... he doesnt seem to be too sure!

Happy 70th Birthday

I have been busy making cards but have not been posting them onto my blog lately, the below card is a stepper card that i made using pastel coloured card and an embossing folder.  The image is a lilly of the vally image free from  a magazine, i used a pearescent paper from a friends stash, and some handmade flowers made using a spellbinders flower creations and a tim holtz distress ink.  I used the fantastic tutorial on Crafty Loops blog to make these flowers.  I made the sentiment myself for the outside and used the number 70 from a freebie sentiment from Netty's Cards.
