30th Birthday with flowers and ballons

I have made the following card with the following brief:

Butterflies, ballons, a 3D 30, and pastel colours.

I am not 100% sure on this card - as it is not the sort of card i usually make.  Apologies for the photo! it was taken at work!!!

Happy 40th Birthday

This is my first time using a Hannah Lynn digital stamp, i have seen them a few times but never really thought i would use one.  I bought Aliah and absolutely loved colouring her in, i only wish i had printed a larger image as i have fallen in love with this image and Hannah Lynns stamps.  I made a simple card with this image using a new butterfly stamp that i bought.  Coloured images using promarkers, stock papers (i am really trying to use up the papers in my stash rather than buying new papers).

Get well soon

This card is for a young and lively girl who is going to be having a hip operation.  For this card i used Zoe but gave her a drastic hair cut in an attempt to make the image look more like the recipient of the card.  The papers were from my friend and image coloured with promarkers.

Wedding card

In a further attempt to use papers from my stash i have - i made a side stepper card and used papers fromm my stash which had tags.  I cut the tags and added eyelets to them to for added dimension with some ribbon.

Happy Birthday - Springtime

I bought an image called Springtime from Saturated Canary, for mydaughters birthday card in July but made a card using the image for a friend at work who's birthday is coming up.  I used stock paper and promarkers to colour the image.

Bank holiday weekend cards!

Well i have had a busy weekend making cards, i have had a bad tummy ache which keeps coming and going.   I had been asked for a number of different cards and i set about getting my list done.

My friend at work's daughter is taking part in the race for life and asked me to do a card so that she could give it to her daughter afterwards to say well done.   I have made 2 versions that she can pick from.  I copied the colouring of the image from Saturated Canary from Coops i loved the way she had coloured her image some time ago and just had to do the pink hair too.

My next card is a wedding card, the couple getting married are travelling to the church in style with a split screen VW, http://www.beetlebank.co.uk/MrBojangles.htm, using the same colours as the VW i used a stamp from my friend Jane, and used it on a side stepper card.  I decorated it with some flowers that i had made the week before, and a cheery Lynn die.  I made a box to fit the card and decorated it to match.

My next card has been in progress for a while, but i just had not been able to work out quite how to put the card together, the below is what i came up with.......

My husband has his birthday on Wednesday and was a very lucky man on Sunday as i gave him his birthday present of an ipad2 to him early, he was so happy with it!!!    I have tried to make this card out of his sight but he did catch me colouring the sentiment in!  Also i think i have lost a pearl from the card as i always do pearls in threes and there are only 2 in this photo!  I know it is a bit plain but i really struggle with mens cards and had no buttons in brown!!!!

My last card for the weekend was a quick and simple card for a frind who is turning 50, she loves her horse and it seemed only right to have a pic of her horse on the card.

Well thanks for looking, hope you liked what you saw xxx

Wedding anniversary! But no card

Well my husband bought me a bouquet of my fav flowers and a bottle of bubbly for us to share last night as it was our wedding anniversary yesterday and i have made a mental note not to use the hot glue gun when under the influence of alcohol! My finger tips got burnt quite a few times!  The end result of the end of an evenings hard work crafting can be seen below, it hardly seems worth the effort sometimes to make handmade flowers and there are just pearlescent and not inked at all or i would of got even less done!

I plan to bend the petals back and then use the flowers on some forthcoming cards (more wedding cards!!!)

Thanks for looking!!!!

Wedding card (again)

I seem to be having a run of people asking me if i could do them a wedding card, it must be the time of year i guess!

I altered the picture a bit for htis one as i was asked if i could make the brides hair shorter!  I used some stock flowers as i really did not have time to make any handmade flowers and i think they look just as good.

I used my cheery Lynn die with this one which i just adore and some scrap gold card that found a grateful home!

Stepper Wedding card

My brief = 1 wedding card with pink and orange, i was given the invite as a reference and managed to buy the exact ribbon from my local craft shop!  2 orange buttons gratefully recieved from Paulas stash, and a real mind block as to how to doa wedding card with buttons?!  (There was an orange button on the invite and i wanted to incorporate that into the card)  I found it hard to make a wedding card with no flowers!  But in the end i came up with the below result.

Std wedding card

I was asked if i would mak a wedding card with quite short notice and after going through various sketch's i interpreted one and came up with the following, the card was for an older gentleman and so i wanted to keep it very classical and elegant.  After putting it all together i felt it needed something extra and added the pearls around the oval.  I have had the ovals and oval scallops for a while now (x cut ones) but not used them this is the firts time and i think they suit the classical card.

Anyways to the card.......

Rapunzel card

I was asked by a work collegue if i could make a birthday card for her daughter from her son and also mum and dad, i was then asked if this could be Rapunzel from the brother and the gruffalo from her and her husband.

Loving a challenge i said yes and set about to doing rapunzel!  I scoured the web for free colouring pages, which would be suitable and then i needed a castle too!

The result is below and i layered Rapunzel up a fair it and tried to give the card added dimension by working the paper a bit using embossing tools and a foam piercing pad.  I think over time this flattened a bit but hopefully to the trained eye you can still tell!

Coloured as ever with promarkers, and glittered to the hilt with a small charm that i bought as a pack from the works a while ago.
