Birthday card
This morning i finished off a birthday card which i am going to be sending to my Step-mum, i have not seen her in years as she seperated from my Dad quite a few years ago, nether the less i still like to send a card on her birthday to show i still think of her.
The image is a lily of the valley one, which i had free in a magazine ages ago and i thought it would be perfect for Denise. I have kept the card nice and simple and used papers from K&Company, 'Roam' range ( i bought these at a car boot sale about a year ago!!!!). backed onto different coloured card. Coloured image using pro-markers and used tim holtz distress ink (old paper) and stamped a happy birthday sentiment and added this to hte card using pads. This was all placed onto a cream card.

Long awaited wedding card!!!!!
I cannot believe that i have not posted any cards on my blog since the 1st Jan, rest assured it is not for a lack of card making as i have been busy, i have also experienced quite a few problems with my laptop.
The card i am showing today is one that i have been working on for sometime now and i am pleased with the result. The card is for a friend of mine to give to her partners brother. I was given the brief some time ago and ran with the words hot pink!
After lots of searching for images we settled on one from Tiddly Inks, which is my new image/item, i had to print the image and try to remove the vampire teeth and scan back in before finally printing the image for colouring.
I coloured the image using pro-markers, and made the card up with some pink paper from Colorbok cardstock brights, some white pearlised paper, and some vintage pink papermania vellum paper.
I hand made the flowers from some die cut sizix cutters, tim holtz alterations elegant flourishes, the leaves came from a friend of mine (Lynn Critchley) which were made using a cricut machine. I NEED one!!! LOL! Not that i have anywhere to put it!!! The flourishes and flowers were decorated using glossy accents and some glitter. I glued the flowers down with as much silicone as i could and then set to work on a box to fit the card into.
The card is finally sitting in the corner of my kitchen with the silicone slowly drying, I hope they love the card and the lucky couple have a great wedding!
I am going to link this to some challenges this evening (cup cake craft challenges being one) but for now my monthly papercraft mag has just dropped through my door, and i hear a cup of tea at my friends calling me before i get my girls from school!!!!

Pyramid card
A boys card using some copic free images, this is my first card for the new year.
Pyramid card.
To do this card i made a square card, with a score line through the centre and then diagonally from each bottom left and right corner point to the centre score line. I then made an additional panel of card the same size as the front panel, with a diagonal fold from one corner to the other.
The additional panel is stuck to the inside of the card as shown in the below images.
I made my boys card using coloured card and some stock backing paper that i have had for some time. I used my tim holtz distress tool to roughen the edges to make it less feminine and more 'boyish'. I then used a image that i downloaded free from http://www.copicmarker.com coloured using promarkers and attached using sticky pads.
I doubled the pads up on the lower foot to have it raised more to give the impression that his foot was coming out of the page a bit more but i am not sure if this shows or not. I also photographed the flat version of the card so that you can see which pannels need to be covered. The card also folds flat into an envolope which is great for a different card but with out the additional problem of getting a custom envolope to fit.
