Happy 7th Birthday to my daughter

OMG! I cant believe that my daughter is 7 today! I still remember the day i had her like it was yesterday.  My daughter Chloe is like a little monkey and always hanging upside down on bars and swinging upside down! I just couldnt resist this image when i saw it, coloured with pro-markers and layered up with 7 gems!

Thanks for looking! x

Animal 40!!!

The following card is a commissioned card that i made for a friend.

Wedding Card

A clean and simple card for a work colleague who is getting married on Friday, I really struggled with this card as I was asked not to use a coloured image on the card which left me lost with no center piece, so I made the sentiment the main feature of the card with some WOC flowers on the side, I have actually made a mistake as it was poor light so there is an ivory crown pin and a white one!! My work mates laughed at me when I stressed over it, but I like to do things right! Nether the less it is not getting changed now.  I made a box using a simple die from spellbinders which I cut AND embossed!!!!!

I have only just discovered the art of embossing with my big shot.  I bough some tan embossing pads and could not work out how to use them at all but recently had a crafting friend come round to my house for a cuppa and I asked her if she could work it out! Now I am seeing all of my dies in a new light as now I can enhance the die cuts even more!

 Thanks for looking!!!

Mothers day cards!

Here are 2 mothers day cards that i have done, both the same but i have done one for a friend who has blonde hair.  Coloured with pro-markers as ever and a little touch of sparkle on the flowers.

Thanks for looking!!!!

Valentines & a voucher book!

I saw a video from Saturated Canary  and just had to use the idea within a card, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YTIyeWXrLw

Kept playing with the hair on this image and was not happy at all with the result - i was having an off day with my promarkers!

I have a craft area!!!!

I have moved house a few weeks back and have been without a phone and the internet for 2 weeks (thank goodness for 3G and my iphone! I have still been able to peek at blogs I follow – it is just not as easy to navigate and comment so I have been slacking on commenting, and posting on my own blog.

Our house move was to a slightly larger house with a larger front room so I have ‘borrowed’ my daughters desk (which is frustratingly tiny – but beggars can’t be choosers) which has a few drawers but previously I had no area so I was always on the floor after dragging my craft stuff out from its corner.  AND…… hubby did talk about perhaps a strip light fixed to the wall to go with a new desk?!?!  Personally I am angling for some shelves as I am still working from boxes and bags as you can see from my images! We have lots of new jobs to do around the house before i get a dedicated craft area but I can now just sit and craft without having to move my stuff all around.

Sorry for not getting to comment on blogs, coops and pops especially I have been loving all of your cards and always make a point of reading up on your latest antics!

Babysitting token as a gift box - pic heavy

The brief was from a work colleague who wanted to give the offer of babysitting for 2 occasions to her neighbor who was getting married as they have said they do not want any presents.  I thought for a long time for what I could do that would meet this brief and decided to do a small gift box with a note/card inside from a tutorial that i found on youtube by Traceylovestoscrap
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFv_sv-X3-E&list=UUlnG5G2u_DCRiqorN-iGHyA&index=13.

I used 1 ½” for the box depth instead of 1 ¾” so that I could use an A4 piece of card, after making this box following the tutorial I found out there was a metric conversion but it was too late by then!

I know that the couple getting married have a light pink colour theme for the flowers so I have tried to stick to these colours.

Thank you for looking and I am so grateful when people take the time to comment so my thanks in advance to those who do!
